The American Lung Association in South Carolina today announced that the 5th annual Lip Sync For Lungs will take place on March 11th. The event, which typically takes place at Charleston Music Hall, was re-imagined as an interactive hybrid experience. Participants can attend the drive-in event at The Bend or stream the event from home.
The event features local celebrities performing lip sync and dance routines in an epic show-down to win the title of Lip Sync Battle Champion.
“This year's event will feature some fun and very entertaining local celebrity performances,” said Rebecca Balitsaris, Executive Director of the Lung Association. “During this challenging time, it is more important than ever to support lung health. We are proud that funds raised will help our ongoing efforts to end lung cancer and lung disease, as well as support our new COVID-19 Action Initiative.”
This year's celebrity performers include:
- Charles Carmody from The Charleston Music Hall
- Eric Elliott from Craft Creative
- Bryan Mahanes from Other Brother Entertainment
- Dr. Edward Rak from Rak Specific Chiropractic Care
- Lois Smith from Gold's Gym
