The Charleston Forum is adapting to how they advance their mission of addressing issues of race and will host online programs in 2020. First, they will host Congressman Jim Clyburn on Saturday, April 25 at 4 pm to discuss the impact of the pandemic on our communities.
The event will host other online discussions on important topics in the coming weeks as they lead up to their annual event in June.
This June, in commemoration for our community members lost at Mother Emanuel five years ago, and in recognition of the 350th Anniversary of Charleston’s founding, The Charleston Forum will reveal the results of a survey showing the attitudes residents in our tri-county area have about issues of race. The survey concentrates on The Charleston Forum's principal topics of education, economics, policing and criminal justice, and the future of the past.
Congressman Jim Clyburn’s discussion of disparities in health and healthcare in our communities in the context of the COVID-19 crisis will be held on Zoom. Click here to register.
