Charleston Fashion Week is making a dramatic change for its 12th year. Instead of hosting five straight days of fashion shows in Marion Square, the event will debut “Lexus CFW The Events,” a series of three signature programs spread across the year in varied venues.
The quarterly event dates will be held in the months of March, June, September, and November. Up first is the Opening Event at The Cedar Room on March 22nd. A “celebration of style,” this kick-off event will include curated pop-up shops, a beauty bar, the newest in fashion and trends, and more. Tickets will be on sale in early February. Tickets can be purchased here.
Subsequent events will be:
- June 14th, 2019: Women's Fashion Event at Memminger Auditorium – A multi-media event showcasing top brands and style-makers on and off the runway
- September 12th, 2019: Men's Fashion Event at South Carolina Society Hall – The finale event will feature the style and charm of the modern, Southern man
- November: Holiday Shopping Event – details to come
“As we looked to 2019 and our successful 12-year history, this seemed like the perfect time to refresh and renew Charleston Fashion Week,” Naomi Russell, the executive director said. “Similar to the progression NYFW experienced after expanding beyond Bryant Park, we are looking to bring a new level of excitement and high-end production to our event. We're embracing the whole city and spreading the luxe and love beyond Marion Square.”
For 2020, CFW is eyeing a possible combination of weeklong programming and events throughout the city, with a continued commitment to Emerging Designers and its nationally known model competition.
