Local comedian and show producer, Josh Bates, will release his debut album, Pancake Carpet, on Friday, August 11th.
Bates is a Colorado native and retired military veteran who ended up in Charleston. He has been doing standup all over the Carolinas and Georgia, has been nominated Best Comic in the Charleston City Paper for five years running, and has performed with the likes of Sean Patton and Shane Torres. He is the producer of Comedy at the Sparrow and hosts the award-winning podcast, Lowcountry Lowlifes.
Pancake Carpet shares hilarious recountings of his time in the military, insights into the joys of getting older, observations about different styles of facial hair, and more. It was recorded by FourbyThree films and will be released on all platforms.
