On Sunday, November 13th, caffeine junkies will find themselves in heaven if they attend the 3rd annual Charleston Coffee Cup at the Memminger Auditorium. The event will run from 10 am until 3 pm.
The Charleston Coffee Cup is a family fun event featuring competitions, demonstrations, kids activities, coffee art, brunch, and a bar by Kudu and Pancito + Lefty. Over 20 roasters from the Southeast will be on site to compete for the best roast. They will each give out samples in 3-oz. Le Creuset mugs, which each guest will receive with their ticket purchase. There will also be a latte art competition where the winner takes home $500. In addition, a bonus non dairy latte art round will take place. sponsored by Pacific Foods/Barista Series. Winner of this round takes him $200 and the runner up $100. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Student/Senior/Military tickets are $12 in advance or $17 at the door. A portion of this year’s proceeds will be donated to Lowcountry AIDs Services.
