Earlier today, the Charleston Symphony Orchestra posted on Facebook that they will be performing with multi-platinum-selling singer-songwriter Ben Folds on Wednesday, June 8th at the Volvo Car Stadium. The show, which will be called “The Ben Folds Orchestra Experience,” is part of the Piccolo Spoleto Festival.
Folds, who is also the singer and pianist for the band Ben Folds Five, is known for hit songs like “Rockin The Suburbs,” “Brick,” “The Luckiest,” “Song for the Dumped,” and “Still Fighting It.”
The musician last performed in the Holy City this past November when he played at the Charleston Music Hall with yMusic, a New York City-based chamber ensemble.
The June show will start at 8 pm and will be conducted by CSO Principal Pops Conductor Yuriy Bekker.
