Bacardi is celebrating 150 years of their tasty rum by taking over the South Carolina Aquarium. The company will be holding the Bacardi Cocktail Classic (formerly the Bacardi Mojito Challenge) on June 5th at 8pm with proceeds benefitting the South Carolina Special Olympics.
The Classic will have a lot of local flare as 18 Holy City bartenders will compete to see who can make the best Bacardi-based cocktail. All attendees – including a panel of Charleston celebrity judges – will determine who the winner is.
While the bartenders are whipping up their drinks, party-goers will enjoy live jazz and salsa music and Caribbean-themed decorations.
Participating restaurants include: Tristan, Wild Wings Cafe, NV/ Suede/ Henry's, The Tin Roof, Upstairs at the Ice House, Coast, Marriott Lockwood's Saffire, Blu, Fish, High Cotton, Muse, Indigo Road Restaurants, Republic, Red Drum/ Next Door, Hall's Chophouse, Magnolia's Group, Graze, and Mellow Mushroom Charleston.
Tickets are $35 and space is limited, so be sure to get yours ASAP.
Short on cash? There are still plenty of opportunities to go. Tickets will be given away via FACEBOOK and TWITTER leading up the event.
So to recap: The Aquarium and Bacardi are teaming up for a night of live music and cocktails with some of the best bartenders in the area. Plus, proceeds benefit are great cause! Why don’t you have our tickets yet?
