On Sunday, September 11th, Awaken Church will host two honorary services for all first responders in the Greater Charleston Metropolitan Area. The events will be held in honor of the 15th Anniversary of the 9/11/01 terrorist attacks on the United States.
The special service will include messages from Charleston Mayor John Tecklenburg and North Charleston Police Chief Eddie Driggers. All police officers and firefighters are encouraged to attend in uniform as honored guests that will receive recognition, appreciation, prayer and a gift from Awaken Church.
The community is invited to join Awaken Church’s “Strength to Serve Day” services at 9:30 am and 11 am. The church is located at 3870 Leeds Avenue in North Charleston.
A percentage of all giving and donations from the service will be given to Coastal Crisis Chaplaincy, a local nonprofit that exists to bring pastoral care and counseling for employees and families of first responders. For more information on Awaken Church, please visit www.awakencharleston.com.
