Press Release
ATLANTA – Painted Hospitality, an Atlanta based company that creates and operates one-of-a-kind entertainment-driven concepts, bars, restaurants, and hospitality ventures, announces a Winter opening for their newest concept, Painted Pickle.
Known for their nationally acclaimed concepts The Painted Pin and The Painted Duck, the hospitality powerhouse is pleased to add another unique option to their portfolio – Painted Pickle.
Painted Pickle, a high end pickleball compeatery
, gaming and entertainment venue, is located in an industrial indoor/outdoor warehouse at 279 Ottley Drive at Armour Yards (known as “The Armour Ottley Loop”) in between Buckhead and Midtown. Painted Pickle will offer an expansive front and rear patio directly adjacent to the new Northeast segment of the Atlanta Beltline, which just last month landed a $25 million grant to bring it to completion.
In short, a compeatery is a place to compete, eat, drink and be social. We were successful in bringing a fresh perspective to boutique bowling with The Painted Pin and re-introducing duckpin bowling to the mainstream with The Painted Duck. Now, we look forward to putting our stamp on pickleball – the fastest growing sport in the nation with Painted Pickle, explains Justin Amick, President and CEO of Painted Hospitality.
The menu will cater to the active lifestyle and aims to revitalize, restore, and comfort. Items will include shareable small plates, salads, bowls, sushi, charcuterie boards and paninis. Beverages will include signature and classic cocktails, local and craft beer and artisanal wines by the glass and bottle.
The 32,500 square foot space will house an indoor pickleball ‘court’yard with eight boutique individually contained courts with permanent nets, a cottage clubhouse, an elevated central seating area overlooking center court, and one signature outdoor court. Furthermore, Painted Pickle has engaged Ivan Vizcaya as the Athletic Director. Vizcaya is a former member of the University of Georgia tennis team, a certified PPR pickleball instructor and he boasts multiple 5.0 gold medals and 5 wins in two professional pickleball tournaments.
In addition to the unique pickleball programming, Painted Pickle will also have a stage for live music and other competitive pub games and social amenities – all complimentary- including an indoor putting green and gaming lawn, ping pong, bucketball, subsoccer tables, cornhole, table shuffleboard, darts, strategy and board games, beach and lawn games and other unique competitive gaming options.
Painted Pickle is targeting a December opening.
The menu will be created by Painted Hospitality's Executive Chef Thomas Collins (The Painted Pin and The Painted Duck). The bar program will have no shortage of talent and include Beverage Director Julian Goglia (Pinewood Tippling Room, The Mercury, Rumi's Kitchen), CEO & President Justin Amick (Advanced Sommelier and Certified Wine Educator) and Director of Operations Robert Nonemaker (Certified Cicerone and Certified Sommelier) curating the cocktail, wine and beer lists respectively.
Painted Pickle will boast prime BeltLine real estate being located at the new northeast BeltLine segment. For more information visit paintedpickle.com or follow on Instagram at @paintedpickleatl.com.
