Local meal delivery company Atlyss Food Co. today announced that they are opening a brick and mortar called Atlyss Food Collective at 476 Meeting Street. The new business will open on June 5th.
From locally sourcing their food to providing 100% compostable packaging, silverware, and cups to collaborating with local artisans, the Atlyss Food Collective will be part grab and go and part grocery. It aims to be a collective space for the city's best locally-sourced food.
Atlyss Food Co., the backbone behind the Collective, has been operating since 2019. One of the most sustainable meal delivery companies on the market, Atlyss offers chef inspired meals delivered to your door. It prides itself on sourcing high-quality ingredients from local farms in our region. Atlyss also uses 100% compostable packaging to reduce waste and lessen their environmental impact. They partner with CompostNow so customers can compost their scraps and packaging each week.
The Atlyss Food Collective will maintain this mission of sustainability. Customers will find items available on the online menu as well as specials only available at the Collective. They plan to offer functional beverages, seasonal dishes, and of course free Wi-Fi to encourage the community to gather, work, and connect. The grocery section of the Collective will offer items like local honey, eggs, milk, baked goods, and meat. It will also carry specialty items such as kombucha, protein bars, and herbal supplements – all local.
“Through the journey of Atlyss I've discovered my truest and most encompassing passion; the act of caring through nourishing peoples bodies, the land and the spaces and people who make up Atlyss,” said owner Jenny Gaddy.
