Rosamond Kamara this week announced that she intends to run for the South Carolina Senate District 42 seat. Senator Marlon Kimpson, who currently serves the district, in March announced that he will be resigning to take a position with the Biden Administration.
Kamara, who goes by “Rosa Kay,” says she decided to run for the seat when she experienced an “injustice at the Charleston School of Law.” Kamara said she believes that if an injustice like what she experienced could happened “in the open at one of two law schools in South Carolina, an institution that is grooming future justice upholders of the very important judicial system, it is safe to assume that South Carolinians are not safe in the hands of some justice upholders making decisions on the laws governing our State.”
“I have no doubt that GOD will direct me on how to help Unite, Upgrade, Protect, and Preserve (UUPP) our Beautiful State,” she said. “It is true that; (for the most part) it is the broken but determined ones that CAN and HAVE FIXED what is broken.”
