Mt. Pleasant Towne Centre (MPTC) and the Charleston Animal Society (CAS) will once again team up to host Pup Bowl VI on Saturday, February 11th, from noon to 3 pm.
The afternoon will feature an adorable football game featuring cute puppies, fundraising activities to benefit the Charleston Animal Society, live music from The Throwbacks, balloon animals, face painting, and the chance to adopt one of the “players.”
“Pup Bowl is one of our favorite days of the year,” said Kathleen Herrmann, Marketing Director at Mount Pleasant Towne Centre. “We can't wait to invite the community back to the Towne Centre for a sixth year of making memories, giving back to the Charleston Animal Society and helping find well-deserving dogs their forever homes.”
The Pup Bowl festivities begin at noon, and the big game kicks off at 12:30 pm. Emcee Silvana Bravo and DJ Luigi of Latin Groove Entertainment will be cheering the pups on from the sidelines and providing in-game entertainment. Food and snacks will also be available from Zimos Gyros, Taternator, Delights Desserts & Coffee, and Holy City Popcorn, plus beer and wine from Burtons Grill & Bar.
Tickets are $10 per person, and all proceeds will directly benefit the Charleston Animal Society. Entry for children under 12 is free.
Spectators interested in adopting one of the players must visit the Charleston Animal Society Registration Table prior to kickoff to receive their registration number. Adopters wishing to register after kickoff may be accepted on a case-by-case basis. All adoptions will be decided at random and if your number is selected, you may choose a remaining pup from that quarter only. In the event you do not want a pup from that quarter, your number will be placed back into the drawing. Once all pups in the quarter have been selected for adoption, spectators will have a chance to make a donation in order to come onto the field for up to five minutes per person, per visit.
