The Charleston Place and Buxton Books are partnering on a literary series that launches this month. Throughout the year, The Charleston Place & Buxton Books Literary Series will feature specialty events, book signings, and meet-and greets with New York Times bestselling authors at The Riviera Theater (right).

It's our hope that these thoughtful experiences will spark joy and inspire connection among the Charleston community and visitors alike.”
The Charleston Place & Buxton Books Literary Series kicks off on Friday, January 20th at 7:30 pm at The Riviera Theater with Grady Hendrix , author of the New York Times bestseller, The Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires. During this hilarious one man show, Grady will share details about his latest novel, How to Sell a Haunted House, which hits bookstores on January 17th. Guests will also have an opportunity to meet Hendrix and have their books signed.
There will also be a VIP ticket option for a special meet-and-greet with Hendrix at 6 pm before the main program starts. VIP ticketholders can hang with the author on the terrace of the Riviera Theater for a pre-event cocktail before heading into the main theater for front row seats to the show.

The Charleston Place & Buxton Books Literary Series then continues on May 1st with “ Friends and Fiction Live: Patti Callahan Henry's The Secret Book of Flora Lea. During this event, guests will meet New York Times bestselling authors and “Friends & Fiction” members, Patti Callahan Henry, Mary Kay Andrews, Kristin Harmel, and Kristy Woodson Harvey, as they gather in-person to celebrate the launch of Patti's new book, The Secret Book of Flora Lea. The hosts will also answer questions from the audience, sign and personalize books, and mingle with attendees.
