The pickleball craze is taking over the Holy City. A pickleball club and restaurant is already on its way to Mt. Pleasant and now the sport’s enthusiasts can purchase equipment from a new local business. Charlestons natives Will Jamieson and Brian McDonaugh recently launched ACE Pickleball, a pickleball paddle company.
“After playing competitive tennis for most of my life, I caught the pickleball bug in 2022 and have been addicted ever since,” Jamieson said. “As I transitioned to this new sport, I tested out dozens of paddles, searching for the perfect high-performance paddle that would complement my tennis background. I never found one that got everything just right. As I played more and more, my skills greatly improved but my equipment did not. I decided to stop looking for the perfect paddle and start building one instead.”
He enlisted the assitance of McDonaugh, an industry veteran in product design and branding. The duo designed and manufactured their flagship model, the Spade, which is available for purchase on their website. If you’re interested in buying the paddle, use discount code HOLYCITY for 10% off!
