On Sunday, December 18th, from 11 am to 4 pm, the Holy City Vintage Market (HCVM) will host the HoLiDaY Holy City Vintage Market at The Royal American (970 Morrison Dr.). While you shop, the venue will serve up lunch and rum punch, while DJ SCrib will perform on the Royal porch all day.
The market will also include the “Fashion on the Fly” vintage fashion show. This show’s theme is “Slay the Bells,” featuring local shops/stylists dressing everyday folks. Market-goers can expect to see vintage and secondhand shops like Tinted Saga, Rhubarb Vintage, FK Vintage, The Fruit Library, Major Vintage, Third Eye Vintage, and much more. There will also be a handful of artisans like Malted Mutts, CrassStitchery, and Peachy Keen Creations. Reflections African Jewelry will also conduct tarot card readings all day. Plus, KLB Salon Studio will on hand for bang and hair trims. Shoppers are encouraged to bring their own tote bag for all their market goodies. Families and dogs are welcome. Also of note, this is the final market that founder Kelly Rae Smith will be organizing as she has handed off the Holy City Vintage Market to co-organizer, Asiah Mae. “Six years ago, I had all the energy in the world for this vision: to create a way to highlight, unite, and grow Charleston’s sustainable fashion scene,” Smith said. “Now, I — and my wear bones — simply feel like it’s time to move on, let my amazing co-organizer Asiah carry the Holy City Vintage Market torch into another exciting era.” For updates, stay tuned to the HCVM Instagram page or contact Kelly Rae Smith at holycityvtg@gmail.com.
