Bonny’s Hideaway, the Tiki-inspired bar located on King Street, is collaborating with the Miracle franchise and Tiki legend Jeff “Beachbum” Berry to bring the popular Sippin' Santa pop-up holiday bar back to Charleston for the second year in a row starting on Monday, November 21st, 2022.
Following a successful inaugural year in 2021, the team at Bonny's Hideaway will bring patrons the festive menu of signature cocktails, kitschy Santa Claus and friends mugs and glassware, over-the-top Christmas decor, surprise visits from Santa Claus, and more. The pop-up installation will close on Saturday, December 31st with a Winter Wonderland New Year's Eve party. Additional details will be announced in the coming weeks.
In addition to the festive roster of food and beverage options, Bonny's Hideaway will introduce an all-new Christmas-themed brunch service dubbed “Miss Claus' Walk of Shame!,” which will take place daily from 11 am to 3 on. Executive Chef Jesse Quint will be serving quirky twists on brunch classics like the “Home Alone burger” with scrambled eggs, queso, and housemade fancy sauce and “The Die Hard Jersey-style waffle sandwich” with spam, hashbrowns, eggs, cheese, and SPK, among other offerings.
Throughout the pop-up, Bonny's Hideaway invites guests to sip on tropical riffs of classic cocktails like the bourbon and pineapple rum-based Jungle Bird, the warm Undertow Toddy, the Jamaican rum-based Kris Kringle Colada, and more.
“After an exceptionally successful pop-up last year, we couldn't be more thrilled to announce that the Sippin' Santa holiday bar is back for the 2022 holiday season and is more festive than ever before,” said James Walsh, owner of Bonny's Hideaway and sister-restaurant Prohibition. “It is our hope to be among one of the must-visit establishments in Charleston to get your ‘holiday fix' at this year.”
Beginning Monday, November 21st, the Sippin' Santa pop-up bar will have the following hours of operation: 11 am to 2 am daily; brunch offerings are available from 11 am to 3 pm and the regular dinner menu will be served from 4 pm until 10 pm. All food menus will include vegan and gluten-free options.
