On Sunday, November 20th, The American Cancer Society will host the “Shuck Cancer” Oyster Roast fundraiser at Bowens Island Restaurant, from 2 pm to 6 pm.
Attendees can enjoy live music, an open bar (beer and wine), and Lowcountry cuisine from 167 Raw, Gillie's Seafood, Bexley Fish and Raw Bar, and Rita's Seaside Grille. Proceeds raised will go towards funding the operational costs of the Hope Lodge, keeping it free for patients.
The Hope Lodge is a nurturing community that helps cancer patients access the care they need. They help to alleviate some of the financial and emotional burdens faced by these families by offering a supportive, homelike environment where guests can share a meal, join in the evening's activities, or unwind in their own private rooms.
