Pedal & Panache is Charleston Moves’ single largest annual fundraiser. Proceeds will: EMPOWER them with the resources needed to continue moving their advocacy priorities well into next year, including Better North Bridge, Mount Pleasant Way, People Pedal CHS, Rethink Folly Road and so many more.

ENABLE them to be nimble, leveraging opportunities as they arise to address key connectivity and safety issues in our region.

HELP them keep outreach free and accessible, including bike light distribution, as well as on-the-ground grassroots organizing and data collection in areas with unreliable internet access.

ENSURE you have diligent watchdogs for the cause, with their staff at the decision-making table at all levels for projects, studies, plans and policies.

About Charleston Moves and the 6th Annual Pedal & Panache top-tier sponsors:

Charleston Moves is a mobility advocacy nonprofit that works to transform our roadways and bridges into safe, connected and equitable spaces for all. We promote streets that are designed and built for everyone, allowing the community to choose among many safe ways to travel. When people are able to ride a bike, walk and use public transit, it means equitable opportunities and better access to affordable food and housing, as well as job security. It means an improved local economy. It means opportunities for civic engagement. It means cleaner air and water, climate change mitigation, improved public health, and reduced traffic congestion. Progress is people-powered!

Bike Law is a network of independently practicing Bicycle Crash Lawyers who share a common approach to the law and helping cyclists. We’ve handled thousands of cases on behalf of cyclists. We know the difference between an accident and a bicycle crash, and why it matters. Our goal is to be effective bicycle advocates as well as legal advocates, and to pursue cycling justice.

Morrison Yard Residences is a mindfully-designed space in Charleston’s NoMo neighborhood opening November 2022, bringing apartment homes, workspaces, shops, restaurants, and green space to the city’s vibrant local community. Situated along the Cooper River at the base of the Ravenel Bridge, the premier residential destination is easily accessible for bikers and pedestrians with ample bike storage available and a bike repair shop on site. Morrison Yard is working with city planners to create a pedestrian/bike connection to the bridge and install a traffic light to make commuting easier and safer.

This event is also supported in large part by Lime, Rockwell Construction LLC and Smithey Ironware Company.
