Charleston resident and actor Sarah Dionna recently launched a business called Arc Take 2, which aims to be a creative place for actors, voice over artists, filmmakers, pole dancers, aerialists, and more. Dionna says the organization’s mission is to foster the growth of media and entertainment artists.
Why “Take 2”? Because this is Dionna’s second attempt at creating a resource center. Unfortunately, the first business was shut down during the pandemic, but the second attempt is already well on its way to opening. A space for Arc Take 2 is already under construction inside the Citadel Mall across from The Righteous Gemstones' green screen room. The space will have a voice over booth, two audition rooms for actor self tapes, headshot and marketing photography, a business center and lounge, plus acting, filmmaking, dance, pole dance, and aerial classes taught by industry professionals.
In order to realize these goals, Dionna says she’ll need the community’s help via funding to finish up all the renovations. She recently launched an Indiegogo campaign, which you can see here. Your contribution will not only help get this project off the ground, but depending on how much you donate, you could also get some fun perks! Visit the Indiegogo campaign site for more info.
Dionna, who served in the Marines, says all the classes and services that Arc Take 2 will offer will be free to military service members and veterans. Thanks to Veterans in Media and Entertainment, Dionna was able to learn from some of the top industry professionals during the pandemic and now she wants to pay it forward by helping other veterans transition back to the civilian world.
