The Pinch, a new, 25-room luxury boutique hotel from Philadelphia-based hospitality company, Method Co., in partnership with New York-based architect, Morris Adjmi, is now open in downtown Charleston. Located at the intersection on King and George Streets, the new property features 22 rooms/suites and three residences for longer stays (bookable for 30+ days). Two forthcoming restaurant concepts are scheduled to open in the hotel later this summer.
Housed in two original Victorian-style structures dating back as early as 1843, alongside one newly constructed building, the property has been transformed into a luxury hotel, drawing on inspiration from the building's history and location. All rooms and suites include a full size kitchen with marble countertops, washer and dryer, and rain showers.
One of the restaurant concepts will be called The Quinte Oyster Bar and will offer a seafood experience in a turn-of-the-century oyster and cocktail den directly off the lobby, The other concept will be based on French fundamentals and the cuisine of Charleston and will feature a seasonal menu that will focus on local ingredients. There will also be an intimate bar and cobblestone courtyard seating. Both restaurants will have beverage programs that feature craft cocktails along with a curated list of local beer and an extensive selection of wines with a focus on French and European producers.
