The 15th Annual Charleston Cinco de Mayo Festival will be held on Sunday, May 1st at the Cruise Terminal on the peninsula (196 Concord Street). The event, which is considered the largest of its kind in the state, is hosted by Latin Groove LLC.
The festival will take place from 4 pm to 10 pm and will feature live music performances by:
- Gino Castillo and The Cuban Cowboys
- Columbian salsa group The Latin Brothers
- Valente of Puerto Rico
- Lil Pim Mano of Brazil
Numerous food trucks will be on hand to provide a wide variety of authentic Latin American cuisine. There will be also be drinks by Jose Cuervo, Estrella Jalisco, and Tito’s Handmade Vodka.
The Charleston Cinco de Mayo Festival was created to both encourage togetherness among the diverse Hispanic and Latino local communities, and to provide an opportunity for Charleston residents to experience Hispanic culture, music, dance, and food.
Partial proceeds from this year's festival will benefit the Charleston Animal Society.
