SeamonWhiteside, a full-service land design firm with offices throughout the Carolinas, participated in the Lowcountry Heart Walk this past weekend, benefiting the American Heart Association. SeamonWhiteside raised $7,537 to help contribute to this year's event, bringing its total fundraising efforts for this event to $56,000 over the last six years.
The annual walk encourages companies across the Lowcountry to “come together, get hearts pumping, honor survivors, raise lifesaving funds and have fun along the way.” With 18 employees participating from SeamonWhiteside's offices throughout the Carolinas, the company continues to participate in this meaningful and impactful event while also boosting the physical and emotional health of its employees.
“At SeamonWhiteside, our community engagement program focuses on programs within the Carolinas related to education, environment, and wellness,” said Gary Collins, Vice President of SeamonWhiteside. “We are honored to continue to support the American Heart Association throughout the years as one of our key charitable partners and the great work they do. We are also so proud of our incredible employees that volunteered in this year's event.”
Fundraising and activities were spread out throughout the month to help maintain awareness and involvement, including gift basket raffles, wear red day to bring awareness to heart month, and a fundraiser at Fatty's Beer Works. SeamonWhiteside looks forward to continuing this philanthropic tradition for many years to come.
