Food Network this week announced it has signed a new two-year exclusive deal with Delicious Miss Brown star Kardea Brown, a Charleston native. The new agreement includes a sixth season of the series.
Shot on-location in Charleston, and currently in its fifth season, Delicious Miss Brown shares the family events, culture, and recipes close to Brown's heart. Born and raised on the Sea Islands of Charleston, Brown grew up in a big family with a love for food, especially the cherished recipes they passed down from generation to generation.
“Kardea quickly became a rising star when she joined Food Network in 2019,” said Courtney White, President of Food Network and Streaming Food Content, Discovery Inc. “Her food and storytelling really resonate with our audience and we look forward to delivering more of her unique culinary voice in the future.”
Brown also expressed her happiness with the new deal.
“I'm so excited to continue this journey with Discovery Inc.,” she said. “It's been a dream come true to share my food, family and traditions with viewers,” said Brown.
