Restaurateurs Michael and Melody Shemtov, the team behind Charleston’s Butcher & Bee, and executive chef Jacob Hunter are bringing The Daily, their coffee and bodega inspired concept to Atlanta. The West Midtown location will be at 763 Trabert Ave.
The Shemtovs, who are Atlanta natives, opened The Daily on Upper King Street back in 2014. The couple describes The Daily as the place where they want to start each day, where they aim to make world class coffee, food, juice, and smoothies.
At more than twice the size of it's Charleston sibling, the West Midtown site marks parent company Butcher & Bee’s first foray into Georgia.
“We believe that food and beverage should have a sense of place, and we look forward to bringing that perspective to our offerings by forming and building on existing relationships with Georgia purveyors,” Michael Shemtov said. “We're excited to connect with producers, as well as Atlanta locals, from staff to guests and hope to become an everyday part of the community.”
The Daily offers a variety of dishes including seasonal items alongside favorites such as avocado toast, veggie pitas, breakfast burritos, smoothies and seasonal lattes.
“We take our food just as seriously as our smoothies and coffee,” Chef Hunter said. “At The Daily you'll find an emphasis on quality ingredients, and pulling from the Middle East allows us to use bright flavors and spices while keeping the food on the lighter side. You can also expect to find classics like breakfast sandwiches and whipped feta toast.”
