Trident United Way is combining March Madness brackets and music to create a fundraising competition called Sing United. Starting now, musicians from Berkeley, Charleston, and Dorchester Counties can enter the virtual competition by visiting https://www.tuw.org/sing.
Sing United is like a NCAA Tournament bracket with musicians facing off weekly and receiving one vote per $1 donation. The musician with the most votes goes onto the next round. All proceeds benefit Trident United Way's ongoing community efforts.
There will be more than $11,000 in overall prizes. The grand prize winner will receive:
- $2,500
- Performance at Sofar Sounds Secret Show
- Produced music video
- Private photoshoot
- Electronic press kit, website, domain & one-year hosting
Additional prizes will be available for the top four finishers:
- Live recording session at Fox Music House
- Mentor session with Emmy Award-winning producer Adam Paul with 7 Cinematics
“This past year has been tough on so many and Sing United will give the community a chance to have a little fun while coming together to help those in need,” Chloe Knight Tonney, Trident United Way president & CEO, said.
To enter the tournament and see eligibility requirements, visit https://www.tuw.org/sing. Artists must register for the tournament by April 5th at 6 pm. The bracket and first round match-up dates will be announced soon after.
Money raised during tournament voting will support Trident United Way in its ongoing mission to improve the education, financial stability and health of every Tri-County community member.
