Personal finance website WalletHub today released a report on “2021's Happiest Cities in America,” and Charleston ranked as being the 18th happiest.
In order to determine where people in America are most content with their lives, WalletHub compared more than 180 of the largest U.S. cities across 31 key indicators of happiness. The data set ranges from depression rate to income-growth rate to average leisure time spent per day.
Happiness in Charleston (1=Happiest, 91=Avg.):
- 38th – Depression Rate
- 17th – Adequate-Sleep Rate
- 27th – Sports-Participation Rate
- 12th – Unemployment Rate
- 43rd – Separation & Divorce Rate
- 11th – Income Growth Rate
