After a nearly year-long delay in production due to the coronavirus pandemic, The Righteous Gemstones, a HBO series starring Danny McBride, John Goodman, Edi Patterson, and Adam DeVine, is ready to film in the Charleston area again – and they are looking for extras.
The half-hour comedy series was created by McBride, who wrote, directed, executive produced, and acted in the show. The entire first season was filmed in the Charleston area. The series tells the story of the world famous Gemstone televangelist family, which has a long tradition of deviance, greed, and charitable work.
