Ma’am Saab, the Pakistani restaurant currently located inside Workshop, on Wednesday announced that they will be opening their own standalone restaurant inside the former home of Jestine’s Kitchen at 251 Meeting Street.
“ We are humbled to carry the torch forward and continue the legacy of a woman-owned business that pays homage to one's roots,” owner and chef Maryam Ghaznavi and her husband Raheel wrote on Facebook. “As Jestine's Kitchen departs into the sunset with her down-to-earth southern comfort food, we are elated to bring you a different dimension of comfort food: Authentic Pakistani Comfort and Street Food Down South.”
The duo said they plan to open in late spring or early summer. You can stay up-to-date on the restaurant’s website.
Jestine’s Kitchen announced its closure in June of 2020.
