UPDATE – The Charleston County Public Library was notified that a second staff member of the Wando Mount Pleasant Library tested positive for COVID-19. This is in addition to the positive test announced on Tuesday, December 8th. As a result, the library will remain closed through the weekend. The Friends of the Library’s “That Holiday Book Sale,” which was slated for this Thursday evening, Friday, and Saturday has also been canceled.

Looking for your next read and a way to support your local library? Shop great books for the upcoming holidays and support your library by coming to the Charleston Friends of the Library's (CFOL) “That Holiday Book Sale” at the Wando Mount Pleasant Library (1400 Carolina Park Blvd, Mt Pleasant).
Browse through hundreds of gently used books at prices that can't be beat, plus free CDs and DVDs. Safety protocols include masked volunteers, sanitized shopping baskets, one direction lanes, social distancing, and adherence to occupancy levels. All sale attendees will be required to wear a mask.

“The Holiday Book Sale is a wonderful opportunity to support our library system and do a bit of holiday shopping, either for those on your ‘nice list’ or even just for yourself,” Susan Hoffius, President of the Charleston Friends of the Library Board of Directors, said. “The books offered at this sale are the best of the best, sure to please all the readers in your life.”
