The folks at Firefly Spirits are re-imagining three classic cocktails by swapping out traditional spirits with some of their own products – and they were kind enough to share the recipes with Holy City Sinner.
The below recipes, made with Firefly’s flavored moonshines, provide a fresh take on three classics – the Margarita, the Cosmo, and the French 75.
Replace tequila with Firefly’s White Lightning Moonshine in all of your favorite margarita recipes, for the same kick with a little savory, down-home flavor.
- 2 oz. Firefly White Lightning Moonshine
- 1 oz. Cointreau, Grand Marnier or Triple Sec
- ⅔ oz. Fresh Lime Juice
- ⅔ oz. Fresh Lemon Juice
A take on a classic French 75, swap gin for Firefly’s Peach Moonshine for a novel way to experience this noble cocktail. The peach introduces a new sweetness to this drink, complimenting the tart of the citrus and crispness of the champagne really well.
- 1 oz. Firefly Peach Moonshine
- 3 oz. Champagne
- ¼ oz. Simple Syrup
- ½ oz. Lemon Juice
Shake up your classic cosmo by swapping vodka with Firefly’s Blackberry Moonshine for a fruitier and stronger twist on this favorite.
- 2 oz. Firefly Blackberry Moonshine
- ½ oz. Cointreau
- 1 oz. Cranberry Juice
- ½ oz. Fresh Lime Juice
