Planter Consulting Group, a Lowcountry-based business consultancy, today announced its launch. Planter Consulting Group specifically targets minority and ally-owned businesses to connect them with the resources they need to be successful. Founder and native Charlestonian Brandon Silvers plans to offer a range of services including, but not limited to, Business Plan Creation, Raising Capital, and Marketing Strategy.
Silvers says the struggles minority-owned businesses face have been well-documented. If a business is lucky enough to open, it must contend with lack of financial capital, a lack of human capital, and a lack of social capital. Planter Consulting Group will provide these businesses with the resources they need to not just overcome these challenges, but to thrive.
In addition to the aforementioned services, Planter Consulting Group will also help ally-owned businesses seeking to increase diversity within their organizations. Silvers believes this dual approach will result in a better economy for the Lowcountry as a whole.
“Diversity has very real financial impacts,” Silvers said. “Whether it’s diversity within a company or diversity of companies within an industry. When you get people from different backgrounds with different life experiences exchanging ideas, it drives innovation. We have an abundance of diverse talent across all industries here that we need to start utilizing. I look forward to helping cultivate this talent.”
Silvers will rely on knowledge and experience gained from his degree in Business Management and his career in real estate to serve Planter Consulting Group’s clients. He will also be partnering with other local subject-matter experts, such as marketing and communications professional Erika Grimes and website designer Carl Hoppmann of Hoppmann Creative.
