Personal finance website WalletHub recently released its report on 2020's Most Sinful States and South Carolina checked in at No. 9 on the list – up (down?) ten spots from last year. As the Holy City’s self-proclaimed sinner, I’d like to take most of the credit for this ranking.
To determine where the U.S. has the most moral growing to do, WalletHub compared the 50 states based on seven sinful behaviors: anger and hatred, jealousy, excesses and vices, greed, lust, vanity, and laziness.
Here are some highlights from the report:
Sinfulness of South Carolina (1=Most Sinful; 25=Avg.)
- 4th – Anger & Hatred
- 5th – Jealousy
- 18th – Excesses & Vices
- 21st – Greed
- 14th – Lust
- 26th – Vanity
- 11th – Laziness
