SOL Southwest Kitchen & Tequila Bar today announced on social media that they have shuttered their downtown location. The restaurant’s Mt. Pleasant and Summerville locations will remain open.

The owners of SOL Southwest Kitchen & Tequila Bar have announced that after careful consideration, they have decided to close their downtown Charleston location. The Meeting Street restaurant, which has been open for nearly three years, has lacked the volume of customer traffic that is enjoyed by the Mount Pleasant, Summerville and Charlotte SOL locations. That coupled with the seasonality of a downtown restaurant led the owners to the decision to close that location in order to focus their resources on the other three restaurants….
SOL would like to thank the customers who have visited the downtown location and they hope to see them at the other area locations. All employees were offered the opportunity to continue working for SOL at any of the other three locations. The last day in business for SOL on Meeting Street was Sunday, October 20, 2019.”
The downtown SOL Southwest Kitchen & Tequila Bar was located at 385 Meeting Street.
