Brookgreen Gardens, a National Historic Landmark and non-profit organization located in Murrells Inlet, has been selected as the recipient of the American Public Gardens Association's (APGA) Garden Excellence Award.
“We are honored to be a recipient of this award from the leading professional organization in public horticulture and are excited to share this news with our supportive community,” Page Kiniry, President and CEO of Brookgreen Gardens, said. “Brookgreen strives to educate a diverse audience about sculpture, horticulture, and the ecology and history of the Lowcountry. This award proves that we are delivering on that promise.”
Started in 2003, the Award for Garden Excellence is an annual award given to a public garden that exemplifies the highest standards of horticultural practices. The 2019 Garden Excellence Award will be presented during the APGA's annual conference in Washington, DC from June 17th to 21st, 2019.
