The Southeast Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences will be inducting WCSC Live 5 News anchors Bill Sharpe and Debi Chard into their Silver Circle. The induction ceremony will take place at the Grand Hyatt Buckhead in Atlanta on Friday, September 7th. It will be the first time that anchors will be inducted as a team.
The Gold & Silver Circle is one of The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Southeast Chapter's most prestigious awards, honoring a lifetime of dedication to the television industry.
“Debi has been with our station 42 years and Bill for 44 years,” Dan Cates, Vice President and General Manager of WCSC, said in a press release. “The two of them have been anchoring our top-rated newscasts together since 1990, so it makes perfect sense for them to receive this incredible award together.”
