***UPDATE: 12/18/12*** – The May 30th Bela Felck/Oumou Sangare show has been replaced with a performance by Angelique Kidjo.
The May 31st Abigail Washburn show has been replaced with a concert by Johnnyswim.
The 2013 Spoleto Festival is still a good 5 months away, but this year’s schedule was released today. Plus, tickets went on sale for all performances. The usual suspects – plays, musicals, choirs, concerts, and art – will dominate once again.
Two performances that jumped out at me were the return of Béla Fleck (who will play with Oumou Sangaré) and the Punch Brothers. Those may be my picks, but there are plenty of awesome events planned that everyone can enjoy. You can view the festival’s schedule HERE.
