Personal finance website WalletHub today released a report on 2024's Best Cities for Soccer Fans and Charleston was named the 5th best midsize city in the country (it ranked 31st overall). This is a slight dip from last year's ranking.
To find the best places for loving on the world's favorite sport, WalletHub compared 300 U.S. cities with at least one college or professional soccer team across 52 key metrics. The data set ranges from the minimum season-ticket price to stadium accessibility to performance on the pitch.
Soccer Fandom in Charleston (1=Best; 150=Avg.):
- 19th – Performance Level of USL Team
- 10th – Min. Season-Ticket Price for USL Game
- 8th – USL Stadium Capacity
- 1st – USL Fan Engagement
