Longevity Club owner Jennie Brooks is proud to celebrate the seventh anniversary of her growing fitness and wellness business, located in downtown Charleston at 163 Rutledge Avenue. With the recent acquisition of the entire building and rebranding as The Longevity Club, Brooks has tripled her business imprint since opening in the penthouse level in 2015.
The step of purchasing the building became a reality in late 2021 and Brooks seized the opportunity as it was always the goal for her flagship space. The Longevity Club now offers 5,000 square feet on the newly acquired second floor, where guests and members can work out on their own. A second Pilates studio is also now available, as well as more private shower rooms and additional lockers, a larger conditioning class studio offering TRX, Barre, Functional Integrated Training and Brooks' signature class, Sweat Therapy. Brooks says of the anniversary, “to see Longevity grow as it has over the past seven years has been beyond rewarding.” She continues, “my team and I have created a very special bond with our members and the Charleston community, and I look forward to more plans for growth in the future.”
Wellness offerings have always been a top priority for Brooks. Longevity now offers dedicated spaces for acupuncture and holistic healing studio operated by Tarah Herrington of Well Rounded Healing; chiropractic care, functional medicine and testing, and nutritional counseling operated by Bradley Brunner of Brunner Wellness.
The interiors on each floor are consistent with the neutral hues, wood elements, and calming aesthetics found throughout the building, with very special touches including custom carpentry by Jennie's brother, Eric Brooks, of Brooks Custom Woodworks, located on Sullivan's Island.
