Pet Helpers today announced Community Pet Distribution Days, dedicated to assisting Lowcountry residents who need extra help in providing for their pets. The giveaways are being held thanks to Chewy and the Humane Society of the United States, who provided Pet Helpers with a donation of 43 pallets of pet supplies. This substantial contribution allows Pet Helpers to give away free dog beds and cat caves to the public.
Interested pet owners simply need to visit Pet Helpers at 1447 Folly Road between 9 am to 4 pm daily, present a valid photo ID to participate, and receive their free items (while supplies last).
"We're incredibly grateful to Chewy and the Humane Society of the United States for making events like this possible," said Melissa Susko, Executive Director at Pet Helpers. "Their generous donations enable us to provide vital resources to our community during these challenging times."
In addition to the distribution event, Pet Helpers also operates a community food bank program designed to assist pet owners with feeding their animals. They encourage anyone in need to reach out and take advantage of this program.
