Oak Road Brewery in Summerville on Wednesday announced that they will be closing at the end of the year. Their last day of business will be Sunday, December 31st.
The owners made the announcement on social media, saying:
"Oak Road friends, neighbors, and family,
It is with an extremely grateful heart that we share with you that after 10 years in business, and 8.5 years of serving the community through Oak Road Brewery, our last day open will be December 31, 2023.
We are incredibly proud of what we’ve been able to build together for this community. We know the brewery is more than just a place to drink craft beer. It’s a place where families and friends gather to listen to live music, enjoy great food, take part in community events, and create memories that last a lifetime. These are just a few reasons why this decision was one that we did not take lightly, and unfortunately, due to multiple reasons, it’s now become unavoidable.
From the bottom of our hearts, we want to thank you for your support and for allowing Oak Road Brewery into your lives. We consider each one of you a member of the Oak Road Brewery family.
As members of the Oak Road Brewery family, we invite you to join us for a 'Thanks for the Memories' party on our last day at Oak Road Brewery, December 31, 2023 (event will be shared shortly).
Before the party, if you have a favorite memory from Oak Road Brewery, please leave a comment below with a photo and/or description. We are creating a slideshow to display on December 31, and would love to include your photos.
We know that as our friends and neighbors, this isn’t goodbye! We are looking for new ways to make more memories with you in the future!
Cheers,
Ben Bankey, Brian Cox, Erin Peck Cox"
