Neon Tiger, the vegetarian and vegan restaurant located in downtown Charleston, today announced that Saturday, March 30th will be their last day of business. No reason for the closure was given.
The venue, which has served the community for the last four years, made the announcement on social media, saying:
"It’s with a heavy heart that we must announce that we will be closing our doors after March 30th. We want to THANK YOU for 4 amazing, cruelty-free years. We’ve made forever friends, saved countless lives, fooled (and even converted) plenty of animal-eaters, and indulged in lots, and we mean LOTS, of vegan pizza. Pushing the boundaries of what vegan food can look and taste like has brought us endless amounts of joy and we’ll cherish our time spent at 654 King Street.
We’ll be going out with ONE LAST BANGER on Saturday, March 30th after our final service ends at 9 PM. We’ll have LIVE MUSIC by DJ Dolla Menu, Porch Dogs and multiple other Charleston musicians including violinist Seth G! Let’s wish farewell to our beloved Neon Tiger properly. Tickets will be available at the door, free entry for those who dined with us that night with proof of purchase.
Thank you to everyone who’s supported us and supported the movement. We will see you all again down the road, because one thing is for sure… #thefutureisvegan"
You can visit the restaurant before they close at 654 King Street.
