The Holy Smokes Lowcountry Barbecue Festival will be returning for its 4th annual event on Saturday, November 9th at Riverfront Park in North Charleston. Over 50 of the country’s most renowned pitmasters and chefs will be gathering once again to celebrate the culture, history, and traditions of American barbecue.
Pre-sale tickets will go live July 10th at 10 am, launching a new discounted General Admission ticket. During pre-sale, GA tickets can be purchased at a discounted rate of $75 (full price after pre-sale is $95). VIP tickets will be available for $250 and are all-inclusive of food and adult beverages. Ticket buyers can gain access to pre-sale by signing up for the Holy Smokes newsletter at holysmokeschs.com.
All tickets to Holy Smokes include you all-you-can-eat access to four barbecue villages: Texas, Traditional, New School, and Coastal. This year's event will feature many returning pitmasters like Rodney Scott, Chris Lilly, Pat Martin, and Jonathan & Justin Fox. There will also be some new faces, including Jordan Wright (Wright’s Barbecue), Matt Abdoo & Shane McBride (Pig Beach BBQ) and Dano Heinze (Vern’s). The full culinary lineup can be found below.
Guests will have an opportunity to sample a range of barbecue styles from this group of pitmasters and chefs. Attendees can expect to taste slow-smoked whole hog, pork and beef ribs, Texas-style brisket, smoked and grilled Lowcountry seafood staples, and much more. General admission tickets will include food from all four villages, musical entertainment, and beverages available for purchase (or complimentary with a VIP ticket). The all-inclusive VIP area will feature additional exclusive food and drinks.
Since its inaugural year (2021), Holy Smokes has donated over $300,000 to its beneficiaries, Hogs for the Cause and Ronald McDonald House Charities of Charleston. Hogs for the Cause is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that supports families battling pediatric brain cancer and offers grants directly to families to help alleviate some of the emotional and financial strain associated with treating pediatric brain cancer. Ronald McDonald House Charities of Charleston (RMHC), which is located across the street from MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital, is a “home-away-from-home” where families can stay while their children undergo extensive medical treatment. Attendees of Holy Smokes can rest assured while they are enjoying some of the best barbecue in the country, their support will continue to help make a difference for local families.
