Jason Stanhope (above), the James Beard Award-winning chef who previously led the kitchen at FIG for more than a decade, this week announced his next venture: a partnership with Method Co., owners of The Pinch hotel on George Street.
In his new role, Chef Stanhope will lead the reopening of oyster bar The Quinte, as well as the opening of Lowland, an upscale Southern tavern. Both concepts will open in late fall.
Located across the cobblestoned alleyway from The Quinte, Lowland occupies the historic Lequeux-Williams House and will include a cozy tavern on the first floor and a dining room with soaring ceilings, original moldings, and a private bar on the second floor.
Under Chef Stanhope's guidance, The Quinte will expand beyond its origins as an oyster bar, with a more robust menu and extensive Champagne list.
More details on menus, teams, and an opening date will be available in the coming weeks.
