Jared Petteys & The Headliners announce their new single, bringing a true high energy rock n roll sound to fans with the release of their first single of the year, “Shake A Little.” The digital release is the first of five singles set to release throughout 2023 after a year of touring and writing and is set to be released on March 24, 2023.
Along with the single announcement, a new music video will be premiering exclusively via YouTube and Release Party and Concert will be put on at Tiki Taco in Summerville on March 24th.
“Shake A Little” was recorded at Big Animal Studio owned by Eric Bass of the popular rock band, Shinedown, and at Petteys' studio, Retro-Sonic Records in Summerville, South Carolina. Petteys' wrote and composed the song as well as mixed and engineered the track and was recorded with Charleston long time audio engineer, Eric Rickert. The track includes upright bass played by band member “MrPalmerOnBass” and is the first release with their new drummer, Russell Lee, formerly from the Charleston blues rock band, Sill Crow. Michael White, mastering engineer for such artists including Whitney Houston, Rolling Stones and Talking Heads, mastered this track as well as the other releases coming this year. Jared Petteys & The Headliners are locking in National tours this year to include their return to Hot Rod Rock & Rumble at Pikes Peak International Raceway in Fountain, CO.
“Shake A Little” marks the first single since the band took a new direction with the release of their most popular song to date, “Black Coffee & Alcohol,” which dropped last year in 2022, shifting from traditional rockabilly and rhythm & blues to an original sound mixing vintage rock n roll with the electric blues, punk attitude, progressive drum style, and modern songwriting techniques.
