A movie based on the tragic story of Conrad Roy begins filming in Charleston next month. According to a casting agency’s social media posts, production will take place in locations throughout Charleston, North Charleston, and Folly Beach from May 6th to May 17th.
“Conrad & Michelle” will be a feature film based on the story of Roy and his girlfriend Michelle Carter. The pair made headlines when Carter was charged with involuntary manslaughter after she allegedly encouraged Roy's 2014 suicide through text messages.
Mallozzi DelliGatti Casting will handle the extras casting for the movie. If you are interested in being an extra, visit the company’s website for more info. Little else is known about the production at this time.
The movie is the latest production to film in the Holy City, which has become a popular spot for both TV and cinema projects. Other productions that have called the Charleston area home include Salvage, Top Chef, Vice Principals, Mr. Mercedes, Halloween, Southern Charm, Naked, Leavey, The Inspectors, The Sinner, Reckless, and South of Hell.
