The Living Room Bar at The Dewbery was named Cocktail Bar of the Year by Imbibe, a magazine dedicated to drinks culture.
The lofty designation was bestowed upon the bar in the magazine’s “Imbibe 75” issue, the 6th annual “compilation of people, places, destinations and directions” that Imbibe thinks will influence the way you drink this year.
Charleston was also represented in the “People to Watch for 2018” category. Publicist and event organizer Angel Postell and social media mavens Johnny Caldwell and Taneka Reaves, aka the Cocktail Bandits, were all included in the aforementioned section.
Ryan Casey, the Living Room’s beverage director, has created a menu featuring traditional drinks, specialty cocktails, champagnes, wines, beers, spirits, and more.
The Dewberry’s website says the Living Room is “outfitted with mid-century furnishings, a curated reading library, and a showstopping brass bar,” all of which you can see in the video below.
