Bittermilk’s No.5 Charred Grapefruit Tonic with Bulls Bay Sea Salt recently won the sofi Gold Award in the cold beverage, drink, and cocktail mix category of the Specialty Food Association's 2017 sofi Award competition.The local company’s No.2 Tom Collins with Elderflower & Hops was awarded a bronze in the same category.
A sofi Award is the top honor in the specialty food industry. “sofi” stands for Specialty Outstanding Food Innovation and represents the best of the best from members of the Specialty Food Association.
The two Bittermilk cocktail mixers were among 154 winning products selected by a national panel of 62 specialty food experts from 3,000 entries across 39 categories.
This is Bittermilk's third year competing in the Specialty Food Association's competition. In 2016, Bittermilk No.3 Smoked Honey Whiskey Sour was named the 2016 gold winner for outstanding cold beverage, and No.2 Tom Collins with Elderflower & Hops was awarded silver in the same category. In 2015, the brand was honored with two silver sofi Awards, including best product line and outstanding cold beverage.
