Chef Nico Romo, formerly of Fish Restaurant, has announced that the concept of his upcoming Mt. Pleasant restaurant, NICO, will be a “modern and lively French oyster bar serving wood-fired seafood and French cuisine.”
The menu will have a heavy focus on seafood, so expect Chef Romo to rely heavily on Lowcountry waters. NICO also promises to have some of the most coveted oyster varietals from across the country.
According to a press release, the restaurant will be “clean and airy with a contemporary French feel, brown leather banquettes and natural wood.” There will also be an open-style oyster bar and outdoor seating on a large patio.
NICO will be located at 201 Coleman Blvd. in Mount Pleasant (Shem Creek area). It is projected to open this spring.
