The Cooper River Bridge Run (CRBR) announced that the event has teamed up with Health Links and the City of Charleston to host the Charleston Health & Wellness Expo, presented by MUSC, on January 9th and 10th from 10 am to 7 pm at the Charleston Gaillard Center. A ribbon cutting will take place at 12:30 pm on January 9th at the Gaillard.
The expo is a free event promoting health and wellness to the entire Charleston community. Multiple information booths and free health services from MUSC and other facilities will be set up at the event. Some of the programs include learning how to live with and controlling your diabetes; mammograms; flu shots; cooking lessons and dieting demos; exercise guidance; weight management; oral health for all ages; a sleep center; tobacco cessation; massages; and a plethora of health screenings including blood pressure & stroke, BMI & glucose, digestive/gastro/bariatric, sleep & anxiety, cancer prevention and screenings, colonoscopies & Crohn's disease, incontinence & esophageal, bone density, and hearing.
