The Charleston Mac Off has changed its format a little, but one crucial aspect will remain the same – thousands of pounds of cheese will still be consumed at this year’s event.
After last year’s single-day event received a few complaints regarding long lines, organizers decided to expand the Mac Off to two days. That means local mac-and-cheese fans will have the option of attending the festival on either Saturday, November 5th or Sunday, November 6th. Each will run from noon until 6 pm at the Grove at Patriots Point.
The 7th edition of the event will include live music, kids’ activities, a demo kitchen, and at least 20 area restaurants battling it out for the title of Best Macaroni & Cheese.
Tickets are $10 and can be purchased here. Food and beverage tasting tickets are sold for $1 each at the event.
This is a family-friendly event. Blankets or chairs are welcome.
